The Advantages of Using Schrimsher Construction
to Build Your Home

1. Use our local knowledge to design for mountain conditions.   Several local homes have been designed by out of the area architects who don't have a clue as to how to design for snow.  Thinking ahead of where to dump the snow from the roof can save hours of cussing and back-breaking snow shoveling.
2. Use our practical real estate knowledge to design the home for your enjoyment and for resale.   We design the home to fit the lot's features, not using a stock plan and forcing it on the property.  The end result is a home that works and is appealing.
3. We deal only in quality construction and with subs who will deliver that quality.  Nancy and I have owned homes costing up to $1,000,000 so we know what quality is expected in such homes.  A home doesn't have to cost that much to be well-built.  A $200,000 home can be built well.  We know the difference and won't settle for shoddy construction.
4. We have invested extensively in the Meadows Valley and we believe that it is a wonderful place to live.  We are not a fly-by-night contractor whose only assets are a dog and a pickup truck.
5. We pass any contractor's discounts through to the client.   These discounts average 10-20% on materials.  Because we use the same subs on different jobs, we can negotiate a lower price than someone who is only doing a single job.  In many cases, these lower costs will more than pay our management fee.
6. With our contract price plan instead of a cost-plus contract, we have no incentive to run the costs up.  Quite the contrary, because we want to keep the owner happy, our goal is to hold costs down.
7. Communication is the key to a smooth working relationship with an owner and we will be in touch via telephone, fax or email at least weekly and more often, if needed.  We will email photos weekly so you can see the progress being made.  You will be kept informed.
